5 books I want my team to read
So I've been looking for an SEO who can take care of at least 5 clients who are working with me right now. And just by chance, luckily, I've already been getting enquiries from people, even though I've not put out the word.
But one thing I'm realising is that the meaning of SEO is still stuck in the minds of SEO professionals in 2026. Many of them still believe it works the same way as it used to in 2020, or in 2017-18, when people were just ranking websites, getting traffic from Google search, and then monetizing their blogs with ads. Just getting paid for getting traffic on their website.
While the picture has entirely changed. I'm sure it had started changing much earlier, but there are still people trying to catch up on their learning, and there's a little more they can do.
So here's a quick guide I have compiled for all the people who would like to work with me, whether they're going to join the marketing team, the content writing team, or come in as an SEO professional with me.
Here's a list of books I have read and found great value in. I would like my employees to have read at least these, and it's just a drop out of the big tub of books I usually go to for learning marketing and improving my marketing knowledge.
So let's go. Here's the list.
1. Dotcom Secrets, by Russell Brunson

Honestly, I am a big fan of Russell Brunson and whatever work he has done. I do take pride in saying that I'm somebody who is learning from Russell Brunson's content. Everything that he has created, all his Instagram posts.
Okay, no, that's an exaggeration. But the books that he has written. Dotcom Secrets totally changed the way I look at marketing, how I look at funnels and sales conversions, and honestly the impact that marketing can create for any business. That has changed for me entirely.
In this book, Russell explains everything about sales funnels, and how you can scale your business by building a sales funnel, getting more and more people into your business, finding more customers, and scaling your business to the next level.
The reason I recommend my employees read this book is so they can get an understanding of how sales funnels work. How online marketing works. How people are using copywriting to convert more and more visitors. What different kinds of tactics can be used for developing a sales funnel, and what kind of results can be created with the help of sales funnels.
2. Bullsh*t doesn't build MOATS, by Vanhishikha Bhargava

The reason I am recommending this book is that when I started reading it, I was kind of blown away. I bought the sample first on Kindle, and then I definitely had to purchase the complete book.
In my opinion, Vanhishikha is one of the most reliable people when it comes to building your brand through organic marketing and SEO on the internet.
While she and her agency Contensify specifically deal with B2B SaaS businesses, the contents of this book are equally useful for everybody else as well, from all industries. And since these are fundamentals for building a brand, you can just start acting on them right away and execute those ideas for your own brand.
Also, this is the book that motivated me to go deeper into my brand, and to develop a good understanding of what I want to achieve with it. What my purpose is. What my company's core values are going to be. And how we are going to serve our customers in a way better way, so that competition does not even exist.
3. Think Straight, by Darius Foroux

I always recommend my people to read this book. Not only employees, but also friends and family members.
Because this book has helped me understand and realise the value of sitting at one place and building something for hours and hours, without being stuck in the loop of analysis paralysis, or overthinking, or whatever other concerns keep us from being productive and make us spend our time on activities that do not get us returns, but instead take up our precious energy.
So it would be good if you read this book. It will help you be more productive and more active with your work, whatever you're doing.
4. The Go-Giver

This one is a very special book for me, because it was recommended to me by my mentor, Mr Ashutosh Kumar Gupta.
The book has made me a better employer, a better provider, a better client servicer, a better salesman and a better content creator. It has given me the value of giving as well as receiving, and the core principles in it are split across 5 topics.
If you are looking to work for me, or in fact to do well in your life in general, I would definitely tell you to read this book. So do that homework, please.
5. The Psychology of Money, by Morgan Housel

I would recommend you read this book because it will tell you the value of compounding.
And when I say compounding, I'm not only talking about money. I'm also talking about the impact you create in your life, around yourself, in the lives of other people in your world, and at work as well.
The key takeaway is- well, leave it. I'm not going to tell you the key takeaway already. I'd rather have you read the book and get the essence of it.
And honestly, don't rely on ChatGPT summaries. It will just take away the essence and give you nothing but mere words. Instead, if you actually take the time to read the book, you will know what kind of wonders it can do for you.
So go on, read these books. And I'm pretty confident your life, your career, and your personal relationships will all start getting better, little by little, with every new page that you read.
Alright, bye bye, I'll see you tomorrow.
